Antonio Benedetto Carpano is the father
and inventor of the first vermouth, in 1786. Ta
"fortified" wines have existed since ancient times
of Hippocrates and the Romans, but Carpano
he was the first to create a real one
"recipe" that could be reproduced with
the same characteristics and taste.
Carpano's original recipe has not changed
and remains a secret to this day. Carpano Dry has a drier taste and a lower percentage of sugars than the rest, as its name suggests.
Among the aromatics that flavor the selected wines used is diktamo from the island of Crete.
Aromas of citrus fruits and strongly herbal and spicy character.
