COCCHI AMERICANO BIANCO is an aromatized wine created in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi and since then it has been produced without interruption according to the original recipe.
The name "Americano" is also from the alcohol that makes it bitter ("amaricato") in combination with herbs and spices, but also the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda.
In Asti, Cocchi Americano is known as an aperitif par excellence – a real piece of history of our town. The rooster is one of the symbols of the city and personifies the aperitif's ability to "wake up the appetite"
The base is Moscato d'Asti mixed with herbs, flowers, spices, mainly extracts of gentian, cinchona, bitter orange and artemisia.
Enjoy it in cocktails, such as Negroni Bianco with equal parts of Cocchi Americano Bianco, Luxardo Bitter Bianco and Portobello Road Gin, but also as an Americano Classico.
