The distillery began operating in 1869 at Wild Turkey Hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. In 1919 it closed due to prohibition and reopened in 1933. It takes its name from the 'wild turkey' hunt where the hunters drank bourbon while waiting for their game. Since 2009 it belongs to the Campari Group.

81 proof (40.5%vol), contains a large percentage of rye distillate aged in heavily smoked barrels.

Spicy and spicy aromatic character, harmoniously combined with vanilla and roasted coffee.

Caramel and honey dominate the mouth, while the aftertaste is delightful and long lasting.
